My love for baking started at a very young age.
It all began when my grandparents decided to move from France to the United States (Santa Monica, CA to be exact) when my mother was a young girl.
A good family friend of my grandparents owned a Bakery that my grandmother worked in for many years.
I remember growing up as a child and thrilled to know that visiting my grandparents for the holidays meant LOTS OF SWEETS.
This bakery made the most amazing ginger bread houses that were HUGE.
I can remember them being sold and placed on layers of thick cardboard because they were so heavily loaded with beautiful fluffy white frosting and gummy candies and candy cane galore.
It was then I knew that baking and sweets would forever be something that I love.
My hobby of baking became a passion so I pursed my passion (on a tight budget) and received my baking and pastry certificate from my local junior college.
The class was so much fun! I met some amazing people and not only did i learn about spices and implementing them into your baking……I was able to sample everything that we baked in class. It was……well…AMAZING!
One of my dreams has been to start up my own bakery for online purchase and delivery. It is dream….so it will come in time, but for now…..I get to share some of my favorite recipes with you.
